Use a special tubular herringbone technique to create this supple, sinuous snake for a striking necklace or bracelet. The curves hold their shape so this delicate rope lies flat without rolling. Two snakes twine around each other for a textured, thick rope. You can even use a combination of bead colors to make it reversible! Full color step-by-step instructions are provided. The instructions cover a number of different variations that use small changes to the technique to create a wide variety of different finished effects.

How difficult is it? Some bead weaving experience is needed for this design. You should be comfortable with using small Japanese seed beads, and should be able to maintain a consistent tension with needle and beading thread. Experience with tubular herringbone stitch would be helpful, though not mandatory. |
