This stunning necklace gets its three-dimensional sculpted texture by combining different bead sizes and shapes. A clever joining technique creates the center point. Finish with a decorative toggle clasp. Students should be comfortable with peyote stitch. The project involves both increases and decreases to shape the point. A matching bracelet can be made by working a length of the basic stitch. Several ideas are given for changes you might try to create your own variations. Full color step-by-step instructions are provided. Note: The Peyote Pinwheel Earrings use the same beads and make a nice matching piece with this design. |

How difficult is it? Some bead weaving experience is needed for this design. You should be comfortable with using small Japanese beads, and should be able to maintain a consistent tension with needle and beading thread. Experience with Peyote stitch is a must. Increases and decreases are used to shape the center point. |
