Create this lovely bracelet in a combination of Peyote stitch diamonds joined by graceful scallops of tiny seed beads. A sprinkling of the diamond beads in the scallops ties the design together. To me, the wide version is reminiscent of those wide belts from the late 60’s and early 70’s that were cinched in by a fancy buckle. The step-by-step instructions include both the narrow and wide versions shown in the photo, as well as ideas for variations. Note: More experienced beaders may want to try a combination of this pattern and the Bezeled Drop Bracelet. Take a look at the photo below to see what it looks like. The bezeled drop is worked into the center spot on each diamond shape. |

How difficult is it? No bead weaving experience is needed for this design, although it may be helpful. You should be comfortable with using Japanese cylinder beads (e.g. Delicas) and should be able to maintain a consistent tension with needle and beading thread. This would be a good second or third project for a beginner. |
