Start with a Peyote stitch tube of Japanese cylinder beads, then embellish with size 15 Japanese seed beads and small drop beads for this fun, bubbly look. The resulting beaded beads have a large enough hole to thread onto a slim chain or cord for mix-and-match jewelry. You can also string them on wire or headpins. Many people think the beads are lampwork until they get a closer look. The instructions have detailed step-by-step instructions with color photos, and cover many different bubble bead styles. I especially like the effect of using color-lined drop beads. |

How difficult is it? Some bead weaving experience is needed for this design. You should be comfortable with using small seed beads (Japanese size 15º) and should be able to maintain a consistent tension with needle and beading thread. Experience with Peyote stitch may also be helpful. |
